About mrs. Ethridge
This is my eighteenth year teaching, and my fifteenth year at Lucama. I grew up in Lucama, and I am a product of Lucama Elementary myself! I also went to Springfield and graduated from Hunt High School in 1998. I finished my education graduating from Barton College in 2002 and couldn't wait to get in my own classroom! My husband, Blair, my two children (Savannah who is 15 and Waylon who is 11), and I live just outside of Lucama. We also have a loving, but very active, Maltipoo named Doodle. I am a very busy mom spending most of my time on the road taking my children back and forth from here to there! I also spend many hours at dance studios and competitions with my daughter. I am looking forward to this school year with some amazing students, parents, and colleagues!!
About mrs. phillips
I am currently entering my tenth year of teaching and my fourth year of teaching in Wilson County. My husband, Jordan, attended Lucama Elementary School as a kid! I graduated from SouthWest Edgecombe High School in Pinetops in 2006 and East Carolina University in 2010. I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education in May 2012. I also completed the AIG licensure program through ECU. The ECU Pirates are my favorite team! I am a huge sports fan but college football and baseball are my favorites. I have a nine year old cocker spaniel dog named Sophie and a five year old black lap named Nelli! We have a two and a half year old daughter named Gracyn! She is such as sweet, caring, and fun toddler! I love spending all of my time with her! I enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family! I know that we will have a great time learning and working together this school year.
About Mrs. pittman
I am currently entering my 26th year of teaching and my fourth year of teaching in Wilson County. In 1994, I graduated from Barton College with a degree in Elementary Education and later earned my AIG certification in grades K-12. My husband and I live in Wilson and are proud parents of 2 boys. My stepson, Eyan, is now in the working world and Zach is entering his first year at North Carolina State University. (GO PACK!) We also have 2 spoiled dogs Josie, a Yellow Lab, and Oakley, a German Shepard mix. (Our dogs have a doggie door so you know they are spoiled!) I love hanging out with my family and watching them play sports. If I am not at a sporting event, the beach is where I love to be. It is so relaxing and beautiful that I can just watch and listen to the ocean waves crash for hours upon hours while reading a great book.
I am very excited about meeting all of my new students and parents. I just know that this is going to be an awesome and fun school year!
